How many Larval Tears are in Elden Ring per playthrough? ›

Larval Tears in Elden Ring are pretty rare, with a total of 18 to be found all across Elden Ring (though some are found in the same location) and no way to farm them, at least that has been discovered yet.

Larval Tears are a finite resource and cannot be farmed - the only way to procure more is to start a new journey into New Game+.

The Mimic Tear, another type of highly evolved Silver Tear, also drops a Larval Tear. Clearly you have to want to be in your new form. all of the big rolling balls in the eternal city drop larval tears when you first kill them.

Look for the merchant to the west of the Worshippers' Woods site of grace. They'll sell you a Larval Tear for 3,000 runes. (Or you can kill them for their bell bearing and buy it from the Twin Maiden Husks.)
